TEDxUofM Conference ||  May 2011- April 2012

TEDxUofM is a university-wide initiative to galvanize the community for an event like no other; filled with inspiration, discovery, and excitement. Borrowing the template from the world-renowned TED conference, TEDxUofM aims to bring a TED-like experience to the University of Michigan. Our vision is to showcase the most fascinating thinkers and doers, the “leaders and best” in Michigan terms, for a stimulating day of presentations, discussions, entertainment, and art that will spark new ideas and opportunities across all disciplines.

From 2010-2012 I worked with one of the most talented student groups I have come into contact with to act as Creative Director for the TEDxUofM conference.

Talks from TEDxUofM can be found at TEDxUofM.com.

The conference - expanding from just 300 attendees to over 1700 in the span of two years - literally takes over the University of Michigan campus each April. During my time with TEDxUofM we not only increased attendee numbers, but developed a completely independent design team of 80+ students to focus on the style of the event including stage design, expand web presence and support related artistic projects.

Creative projects from TEDxUofM 2011 "Encouraging Crazy Ideas" and TEDxUofM 2012 "Inform / Transform" included everything from the TEDxUofM Poster Project to an Interactive LED Cube built for TEDxLabs.

Built for the 2012 TEDxUofM Conference March 29, 2012 - a collaboration between Cory Levinson, Tony Pugh, Dan Connors and the TEDxUofM Design Team.
