Better World by Design Conference ||  November 2012 - November 2013

A Better World by Design is a three-day internationally acclaimed conference held annually at the Brown & RISD campuses in Providence, RI. It connects students, professionals, and individuals from a variety of disciplines in order to build a global community of socially conscious and passionate innovators. A Better World by Design was founded and is run by Brown and RISD students and is celebrating 6 years of inter-collegiate collaboration. So far, the conference has attracted over 3,500 participants to discuss how design and design thinking can work to make the world a better place.

For BWxD '13, I joined the planning committee as the Public Relations Coordinator. Taking the reigns of on-campus and external promotion (as well as a number of high-traffic social media channels) - I found myself in an amazing opportunity to dive deep into connecting with our audience before, during and after the event. The sold-out event managed to reach not only the Brown and RISD communities but also hosted guests from New York City, Boston and as far away as Denmark, Brazil and Scotland. Check out our Twitter and Facebook page to connect. We hope see you at BWxD '14!
